I’m Mike, the 18th Century Cook! I've been an avid home cook and history enthusiast for over 20 years. As a living historian and educator, my research has focused on New England culinary history and foodways from the time of the American Revolution. I take great care to make sure all my recipes, equipment, clothing, ingredients, and techniques are accurate to that time. I conduct meticulous research and work with other historians to bring you the most authentic experience possible. I hope my recipes and videos are educational and entertaining and transport you to a different time and place! If you have any questions or would like to work together, please reach out.
